We joined longtime friends in the field AK, Knut, and Dokka in Gyrinos for a day of harvesting trout. Hunters, fishermen, and foragers alike often take to the woods for a sense of relaxation, but also a wish to harvest food for themselves and their families before winter sets in. Harvesting directly from nature offers a sustainable alternative to the grocery store or fast food stop. Responsible management of nature’s resources requires us to coexist with the natural world and follow those laws that regulate outdoor activities and harvesting in this pristine wilderness.
